Explaining our logo
Our club logo is very symbolic:
The blue represents the sea and sky, while the white depicts Aotea, the long white cloud.
The green koru's shape shows movement, change and growth - it is a symbol of new beginnings, fresh ideas and the future.
And, in the background, is Rangitoto, an icon of Auckland and will be familiar to all who live or have visited our city. Rangitoto is an extinct volcano, which now forms a much-visited island in the Hauraki Gulf.
Who/what is Aotea Auckland?
International Inner Wheel is one of the largest voluntary women's service organisations active in more than 100 countries with over 100,000 members worldwide. Members are united by friendship and commitment to service in their communities.
2008 saw the formation of New Zealand’s first Inner Wheel "Next Generation" Club - the Inner Wheel Club of Aotea Auckland.
We are a club of young women who meet once a month to share friendship, common interests and goals, as well as supporting our community through service and fundraising activities.
NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME...
We come from all over Auckland, meeting on the 2nd TUESDAY of each month from 7.00 pm at St Paul’s Church Hall, St Vincent Avenue, Remuera.
